Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Forklift certification, preferred
  • Ability to work irregular hours

Job Duties

  • Builds skids or boxes for packing and shipping of all orders
  • Uses crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun and banding equipment as needed
  • Follows AMI packing and preservation policies and procedures
  • Performs quality inspections on orders to maintain 100% quality standards
  • Marks all shipments in accordance with customer and AMI procedures and requirements
  • Properly stencils shipping information as required
  • Provides maintenance and keeps records of maintenance on all equipment assigned
  • Maintains clean work area
  • Follows all company safety and quality policies and procedures
  • Participates in TQM and SPC meetings
