Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in event production or relevant work experience
  • OSHA safety, forklift, and aerial lift certifications are preferred
  • ETCP, AVIXA, CMP, and other industry certifications are a bonus
  • Working knowledge of at least 1 discipline (audio, lighting, video, rigging, scenery)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
  • Must have the ability to work irregular and long hours including manual labor
  • Must be able to work in warehouse environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand, and/or dust
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to fast-paced event production environment

  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations to receive information and to prepare or inspect site plans, blueprints, and drawings
  • Must communicate effectively, both by active listening and conveying information in written and verbal forms
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Must be flexible and able to communicate and manage in a fast-paced working environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to read, modify, and comprehend drawings i.e., ground plans, sections, lighting plots via PDF, CAD, or Vectorworks
  • Proficient in conflict resolution

Job Duties

  • Coordinate, lead, and participate in warehouse event-related operations including loading/unloading trucks, pulling and prepping show orders, office cleaning, equipment quality control, and returning equipment post-event
  • Lead warehouse inventory accuracy and equipment readiness in a warehouse environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand, and/or dust
  • Document and track existing equipment using asset management software and label all inventory matching system names, on equipment and cases, in clear, informational, and consistently branded ways
  • Track and receive incoming shipments of new or repaired inventory
  • For all new equipment, test, label, and complete tasks required for equipment to be added into inventory system and deployed for company use
  • Complete operational tasks of project workflows by assigned due dates, attend meetings to provide feedback and status updates, and communicate needs and expectations with event production managers
  • Contribute to audiovisual equipment upkeep, including cleaning, testing, organizing, and identifying needed repairs or maintenance
  • Coordinate required repairs with internal staff or outside vendors including RMAs, packing, shipping, and receiving required
  • Safely transport equipment and crew in company vehicles including non-CDL box trucks
  • Driving training is provided and must be completed within 90 days
  • Additional licenses may be required after training
  • Assist with the preparation, transport, on-site setup and teardown of audiovisual equipment during deliveries, including lighting, audio, LED, video, and scenic elements for live events, as required
  • Engage in technical training and development, learning from peers, formal trainings, and hands-on experience to grow into/full operator roles supporting lead technicians during corporate events, as required and aligned with skill level and interest
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for event execution, as required
  • Adhere to company processes, safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines regarding quality of work, technical operations, and attire
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service and positive client relationships by acting professionally during client interactions and assisting in on-site coordination as needed
  • Track and create purchase requests when stock is low for consumables of both event-related items and office supplies, toiletries, food and beverage, etc
  • Assist in all other areas, as required, to ensure successful event production and client satisfaction
  • Work in warehouse environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand, and/or dust
  • Promote job site safety and investigate all safety and reliability concerns
  • This is a safety sensitive position, a job or position where the employee holding this role has the responsibility for both his/her own safety and the safety of others
  • An employee must be alert and with clear mind and diligent while occupying such positions
