Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3-5 years progressive management experience
- 3+ years managing exempt employees
- Forklift Operator Certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Ability to travel domestically up to 20% of the time
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions including warehouse, refrigeration, freezer, and tight spaces
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive management experience, preferably within a food distribution environment
- 3+ years managing exempt-level employees
- Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning and budgeting
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite or SAP
- Proficient in supply chain and logistics software, including WMS
- Forklift Operator Certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
- Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work with diverse populations and the general public
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
Job Duties
- Leads and manages the warehouse team, overseeing warehouse operations
- Ensures all warehouse associates are safely and properly trained and supervised daily
- Ensures compliance with Feeding America, USDA, TDA, OSHA, food safety and sanitation standards, and prepares for audits
- Executes all warehouse management-related tasks, including day-to-day warehouse planning and scheduling
- Works with inventory, distribution, and warehouse to ensure FEFO/FIFO is followed
- Ensures product received and shipped is inspected for quality control and properly tagged prior to storing and distribution
- Collaborates with Volunteer Services and Programs to align on production planning
- Ensures the cleanliness, condition, and organization of the warehouse
- Prepares and analyzes reports on warehouse activities and productivity metrics via WMS and ERP systems
- Leads continuous improvement of processes and procedures to maintain accurate records, achieve distribution goals, ensure product quality, and deliver excellent customer service
