Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate
- experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
- physical ability to perform duties including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting and reaching
- ability to use hands, speech, eyesight, and hearing effectively
- must be able to handle moderate to high noise levels and adapt to varying warehouse temperatures
- commitment to follow safety procedures including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and use of personal protective equipment
- reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate
- one or more years of janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance experience preferred
- any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the required skills and abilities
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- basic understanding of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- reliable, punctual, and able to follow assigned schedules
- ability to adapt to changing priorities and perform multiple tasks efficiently
Job Duties
- cleans and sanitizes restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas
- sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums, and buffs floors using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- empties and cleans trash containers, recycling bins, and replaces liners
- dusts furniture, fixtures, vents, and surfaces to maintain a clean and professional environment
- cleans windows, doors, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
- restocks restroom and breakroom supplies as needed
- reports any maintenance or safety issues to management
- maintains cleaning equipment and supplies in good working condition
- follows all company safety procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and ppe requirements
- assists with light maintenance or special cleaning projects
- maintains good housekeeping habits in all work areas
- attends required staff meetings and participates in discussions on improving cleaning operations
- maintains a professional demeanor, appearance, and conduct at all times
- performs other job-related tasks or special projects as directed by management
