Job Requirements
- Must be age 21 years or older
- at least one year of professional driving experience
- valid Commercial Driver License Class B or C with a clean driving record for five years
- pass DOT physical examination and obtain medical card
- pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test and participate in random testing
- completion and passing of Defensive Driving Course
- ability to lift luggage up to 80 lb
- effective communication in English
- ability to work flexible hours
- may require passenger or air brake endorsements
- experience driving in winter weather conditions
- willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment
- limited travel requirements
- ability to perform physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
Job Qualifications
- Must be age 21 years or older
- minimum one year of professional driving experience
- preferred vehicle mechanical experience
- customer service experience
- effective communication skills in written and spoken English
- possession of a valid Commercial Driver License (Class B or C) with a clean driving record of five years
- ability to pass DOT physical examination and obtain a medical card
- completion and passing of Defensive Driving Course prior to driving
- may require passenger endorsement or air brake endorsement
- experience driving in various weather conditions including winter
- familiarity with equipment such as walkie-talkies, hand trucks, computers, photocopiers, printers, and telephones
Job Duties
- Complete a daily vehicle inspection form prior to driving and after finishing their route
- ensure a pleasant and clean atmosphere is always maintained in and out of the vehicle
- apply all safety equipment available and always wear seat belt when driving
- operate company vehicle weighing under 26,000 lb transporting passengers or supplies to designated locations
- drive defensively, safely, and cautiously in all situations
- provide exceptional customer service and positive representation when encountering guests
- pick up and drop off guests at designated locations
- act as a concierge resource by being knowledgeable about the property and surrounding areas
- lift guest luggage up to 80 lb into the vehicle
- fuel, clean, and inspect vehicle when required
- identify maintenance and safety issues and report malfunctions immediately
- complete all vehicle logbooks including ridership information
- coordinate with Transportation Office dispatcher to fulfill special and group requests
- transport equipment safely to and from the warehouse as assigned
- perform maintenance and safety inspections including checking oil, tires, and lights
- take vehicle to car wash when necessary
- assist with clerical work such as answering phones and dispatcher duties
- sell and dispense propane following federal laws for dry storage drivers
- operate cash register handling cash, traveler’s checks, and credit cards accurately
- understand machinery and chemicals used and read SDS sheets when necessary
- attend all department and safety meetings
- share innovative ideas to improve efficiency and operations
- follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, security, emergencies, energy, and road rules
