Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Passing score on aptitude test in lieu of diploma
  • One year related experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license or valid ID
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to operate forklift, hoist, welding equipment, hand and power tools
  • Familiarity with industrial and mechanical terminology
  • Knowledge of CFR 110 and food safety standards
  • SAP or WMS system experience preferred
  • Successful pre-employment physical
  • Ability to work independently
  • High attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • Positive can-do attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with Community Coffee or relevant experience
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
  • Ability to operate forklifts, hoists, welding equipment, and hand and power tools
  • Familiarity with industrial and mechanical terminology
  • Knowledge of CFR 110 and good manufacturing practices for food safety
  • Experience with SAP or other WMS systems preferred
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical
  • Valid driver’s license or valid federal, state or local ID card

Job Duties

  • Read load reservations and customer order requests to determine stock items to be pulled for distribution
  • Load and unload items on or from trucks and conveyors
  • Convey items between receiving, shipping, and storage areas
  • Assemble sales personnel and customer orders by pulling from on-hand stock and placing in staging areas
  • Audit picked orders for accuracy and report discrepancies
  • Stack and arrange products on pallets
  • Assist internal customers with loading products onto sales trucks
  • Assist in weekly/monthly inventory cycle counts
  • Move products during space reallocations or inventory taking
  • Rotate product according to Julian dates or FIFO method
  • Receive and check incoming product against receiving documents
  • Utilize location van to pick up and deliver product if required
  • Help maintain lawn and landscaping when necessary
  • Complete forklift and pallet jack inspections before each shift
  • Replenish stock and maintain an organized warehouse daily
  • Clean and perform minor repairs to equipment occasionally
  • Operate industrial forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks
  • Maintain warehouse organization based on warehouse management system (WMS) strategies
  • Execute daily receiving and shipping schedules according to load boards
  • Use handheld WMS units and computers for product movement and placement
  • Perform additional duties as required depending on location
