Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating forklifts and industrial equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work flexible hours if required.
Job Qualifications

- Experience operating forklifts and other industrial equipment
- Basic knowledge of inventory management procedures
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting heavy items
- Familiarity with safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment
- Valid driver’s license for delivery responsibilities
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Prior experience in retail or warehouse operations preferred
- Completion of propane handling training and licensing if applicable.
Job Duties
- Maintain regular communication with store leadership to receive daily assignments and provide timely information regarding receiving and inventory supply, customer orders, showroom appearance, facility maintenance, safety, loss prevention, and other critical factors
- Provide prompt and courteous customer support
- Assist customers with filling orders, lifting and accessing products, and loading merchandise into vehicles
- Verify invoices to ensure proper merchandise and quantities are loaded
- Effectively secure loads
- Receive merchandise deliveries at facility warehouse according to established procedures
- Unload merchandise using proper equipment and manual lifting
- Count and verify delivery accuracy by comparing to purchase orders and reviewing shipping documents
- Inspect items for damage or defects
- Notify supervisor of shipping errors, damage, and quality issues
- Safely move merchandise throughout the warehouse utilizing proper equipment and manual lifting
- Perform full pallet put-away by accurately storing merchandise
- Manually stack down mixed pallets
- Perform showroom replenishment and stock merchandise ensuring neat and organized displays
- Reconfigure store shelving, build endcaps, and assist with merchandise displays
- Deliver bulk and packaged merchandise to customer locations using SSC vehicles
- Fill propane cylinders and operate propane-related equipment following safety and licensing protocols
- Assist team members in taking physical inventory
- Monitor store entrances and exits to promote security and minimize loss
- Request receipts or proof of payment as per facility procedures
- Escalate potential security concerns
- Perform regular forklift and equipment inspections
- Report maintenance needs and assist with equipment maintenance
- Perform housekeeping duties and general facility maintenance including lawn care and snow removal
- Adhere to safety regulations, use personal protective equipment, and comply with company and OSHA policies
- Perform all other assigned job functions.
