Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment including exposure to temperature extremes
  • must adhere to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • must be able to read, count, and write accurately for documentation purposes
  • prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 70 lbs
  • ability to operate motor vehicles and heavy equipment including forklifts and power pallet jacks
  • must be able to work varied hours and days as needed to fulfill job responsibilities
  • forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification

  • willingness to learn and comply with food safety and sanitation standards
  • team-oriented and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • minimum one year experience working in a warehouse and or distribution center environment as a general warehouse worker or order selector required
  • valid Alabama driver's license
  • ability to read and perform basic mathematical functions

Job Duties

  • Pack partners' orders and assist with receiving and unloading deliveries
  • inspect and store food products accurately and safely on storage racks and pallets
  • ensure partners' food orders are accurate and done in a timely manner
  • operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks with training or certification
  • ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the warehouse, office, and surrounding areas
  • conduct and support regular inventory counts quarterly or as needed
  • perform daily checks and routine maintenance on equipment such as fluid levels and batteries
  • demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to food safety and food defense protocols
  • assist with any additional duties as assigned by warehouse management
