Job Requirements

  • High school or GED required
  • previous experience with bar coding and automatic data collection preferred
  • ability to work overtime, irregular hours or rotating shifts
  • excellent organizational skills and multitasking abilities
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • proficiency with basic office equipment
  • understanding of numbers and basic statistics
  • ability to add, subtract, and average numbers
  • ability to analyze and present data
  • bilingual English/Spanish skills helpful
  • ability to communicate and work with diverse individuals in plant and corporate environments
  • proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • adaptability to a constantly changing environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Review and maintain seal, driver, and move logs
  • update all whiteboards in the office with current information
  • manage on-duty drivers and coordinate vehicle moves throughout the day
  • request empty reefers needed during the day
  • notify Transportation department when trailers are out of service
  • gather yard checks throughout the day and review them for potential issues
  • ensure the yard is free of congestion by managing proper trailer flow
  • monitor trailer temperatures and alerts using truck monitoring software
  • maintain warehouse paperwork and files
  • cross-train in all duties and responsibilities in the warehouse office
  • suggest ways to control labor and supply costs and improve processes
  • ensure compliance with quality, safety, legal, and food safety requirements
  • follow all Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • maintain a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free workplace
  • report unsafe or hazardous work conditions to management
  • accomplish all tasks as assigned or requested
