Job Requirements
- Read work order instructions to determine work assignments or materials or equipment needs when necessary
- identify and maintain safety awareness in a noisy and fast paced warehouse work environment
- flexible and adaptable to changing work assignments based on customer needs and manager assignments
- lift approximately 20lbs when needed
- ability to identify and monitor pallet quality with corresponding paperwork as assigned
- ability to stand walk and work on feet for majority or all of shift
- ability to read customer labels to accurately complete assignments
- ability to distinguish different colors to perform assigned duties
- properly handle all products in accordance with food safety and warehouse safety guidelines
- maintain a clean work environment throughout shift
- help keep debris clear and manageable in support of operations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to read and understand work order instructions
- basic computer skills to operate RF Scanner technology
- physical ability to lift approximately 20 pounds
- ability to stand walk and work on feet for majority or all of shift
- color vision capabilities
- excellent safety awareness and adherence to warehouse safety guidelines
- ability to adapt to changing work assignments
- basic knowledge of material handling equipment operation
Job Duties
- Unload and break down freight from trucks trailers rail cars
- sort and organize freight
- operate various types of material handling equipment
- sort repack and label freight
- identify unusable pallets
- read count and use RF Scanner technology
- remove items from sorting and packing bins scan and place onto conveyor belt
- produce packing lists and bag items
- operate warehouse machinery such as bailers trash compactors shrink wrappers
- maintain work area in a clean and hazard free condition
