Job Requirements

  • 1 year’s general management experience to include financial accountability
  • 2 years’ of college or 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s experience supervising 10 associates or employees or 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s experience supervising 10 associates
  • Completion of required job trainings and assessments
  • For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of firearms-specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training
  • Acknowledgement of state-specific requirements for ammunition sales where applicable

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
  • General work experience supervising 20 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and execute business plans
  • Experience in financial management and budget forecasting
  • Knowledge of merchandise presentation and inventory control
  • Commitment to company policies, ethics, and integrity
  • Ability to build strong community relationships
  • Proficiency in training and team development

Job Duties

  • Direct and guide management and hourly associates on customer service approaches and techniques
  • Model excellent customer service and resolve customer issues within company guidelines
  • Drive financial performance by managing budgeted sales, wages, and expenses
  • Assist store manager in leading the management team controlling expenses and wages
  • Create and implement plans to improve financial performance and forecast budgets
  • Participate in community outreach and establish relationships with key community individuals and groups
  • Set standards for service levels and merchandise presentation, maintain stock and inventory
  • Provide supervision by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and developing associates
  • Drive execution of business plans by identifying needs, removing obstacles, and measuring progress
  • Promote and support company policies, ethics, and integrity
  • Evaluate effectiveness of plans and initiatives and apply suggestions for improvement
  • Foster a high-performing, inclusive, team-based work environment
  • Act as company representative in community events and media engagement
