Job Requirements

  • 1 year general management experience to include financial accountability
  • 2 years of college, or 1 year retail experience with 1 year supervising 10 associates, or 2 years general work experience with 1 year supervising 10 associates
  • Successful completion of all job required trainings and assessments
  • For facilities selling ammunition, may require state-issued Certificate of Eligibility
  • For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of background check and firearms training required
  • Willingness to comply with company policies and participate in community outreach
  • Drug-free workplace compliance

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership preferred
  • 1 year general management experience including financial accountability
  • 2 years of college or retail experience with supervisory responsibilities
  • Experience supervising 10 or more employees
  • Ability to mentor, hire, and conduct performance management
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement business plans
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Commitment to ethical standards and company values

Job Duties

  • Direct and guide management and hourly associates on proper customer service approaches and techniques
  • Model excellent customer service to teach and ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within company guidelines
  • Drive and ensure financial performance by managing budgeted sales, wages, and expenses
  • Assist the store manager in controlling expenses and creating budgets
  • Participate in community outreach programs and represent the company in external organizations
  • Set standards for service levels and effective merchandise presentation
  • Hire, train, mentor, and develop associates while providing clear expectations and recognition
  • Execute business plans by identifying needs, removing obstacles, providing resources, and measuring progress
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity standards
  • Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and belonging
  • Serve customers by making data-driven decisions and balancing priorities
  • Drive continuous improvement and learning within the team
