Job Requirements

  • One year’s general management experience in role with financial accountability
  • One year’s experience in retail and one year’s experience supervising ten or more associates/employees, or two years’ general work experience and one year’s experience supervising ten or more associates/employees
  • For facilities that sell ammunition, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility
  • For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of firearms-specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training
  • Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace in compliance with company policies

Job Qualifications

  • One year’s general management experience in a role with financial accountability
  • Experience supervising ten or more associates/employees
  • Ability to build high-performing teams and foster a culture of belonging
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Proficient in financial budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to uphold company policies, ethics, and integrity
  • Preferred: Two years’ general work experience supervising twenty or more direct reports
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field

Job Duties

  • Direct and guide members, managers, and hourly associates on proper customer service approaches and techniques
  • Ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved according to company guidelines and standards
  • Build relationships with associates to ensure proper feedback
  • Drive and ensure the financial performance of the facility by confirming budgeted sales, wages, and other expenses are achieved
  • Assist the store manager in leading the management team in controlling expenses and wages
  • Create and implement plans to improve the financial performance of the facility
  • Analyze economic trends and community needs for budget forecasting
