Job Description

Walton Arts Center and Walmart AMP together form the cultural heartbeat of Northwest Arkansas through world-class performing arts and entertainment. Operating over two campuses, the Walton Arts Center provides a professional performing arts experience with a 1,200-seat proscenium theater and a 269-seat black box theater in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • six months related experience and/or training
  • ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
  • ability to talk, listen, and speak clearly
  • must have a working cell phone and be willing to install basic applications and use it for work purposes
  • ability to endure standing or walking for extended periods on various surfaces such as concrete, grass, and inclined surfaces
  • ability to endure outdoor elements including cold, heat, sun, wind, and precipitation
  • ability to work in large, crowded environments with flashing lights, loud music, noises, pyrotechnics, and cannons as part of shows and events
  • availability for day-of-show only with preference for starting at 4 pm
  • ability to work within ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards

Job Qualifications

  • 21 years of age or older
  • reliable and punctual
  • an on-going desire to learn and improve
  • able to use a dollie/hand truck
  • good communication skills
  • must have flexibility to work an event-driven schedule including evenings and weekends
  • ability to make decisions in a fast-paced work environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • ability to interact and get along with many different types of people
  • ability to work independently as well as with others to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully within ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards

Job Duties

  • Manage the inventory and restock bars throughout with alcohol, mixers, garnishes, ice, and other supplies
  • monitor stock levels and coordinate with Supervisor to ensure timely replenishment
  • maintain cleanliness and organization throughout walk ins, back of house areas and front of house areas
  • ensure all bar equipment is in good working condition
  • report any equipment malfunctions or issues to Warehouse Supervisor
  • adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of equipment and product
  • follow responsible alcohol service practices and comply with local health regulations
