Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or customer service preferred
- Availability to work either early morning or midday shifts including every other weekend
- Ability to perform physical tasks required in a dining environment
- Knowledge of basic food safety standards
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team
- Reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service or waitstaff experience is an asset
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of food handling and infection control standards including HACCP
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic food preparation skills
- Willingness to adhere to dress code standards
Job Duties
- Greet residents warmly and take their food order
- Deliver food ordered by resident and guests to the table, demonstrating courteous and considerate manner
- Clear prior course dishes before serving next course
- Clear tables at the end of the meal and pre-set table for next meal service
- Perform cleaning responsibilities as assigned to maintain sanitation and orderliness
- Attend scheduled meetings and in-services
- Safely operate all job related food service equipment
- Adhere to department standards of dress
- Follow directions and systems as indicated
- Perform duties in a team environment
- Assist with food preparation as assigned
- Perform other duties as required
