Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service preferred
- ability to communicate effectively and patiently
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- ability to work as part of a team
- reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a waiter or waitress in a restaurant or food service related industry
- ability to work in a fast paced environment
- strong multitasking skills
- good communication, customer service, and people skills
- professionalism, patience, and ability to satisfy a demanding customer base
- experience working with senior populations preferred but not required
- team player mentality
- familiarity with food safety, food preparation, and board of health guidelines is a plus
- ability to adapt to different personality types and situations
- reliability, caring, and gentle demeanor
- respect for elderly and ability to remain calm at all times
Job Duties
- Patiently and cheerfully taking resident meal orders
- checking station tables for settings and cleanliness
- reading the menu before service to assist residents knowledgeably
- assisting in plating and portion control of appetizers, salads, soups, beverages, and desserts
- bussing tables at the end of the meal
