Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of food and beverage operation experience
  • pass background check and receive required licenses or permits
  • Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission license
  • serve-safe certification

  • ability to lift up to or over 30lbs
  • ability to handle cash and operate point of sale systems

Job Duties

  • Serve guests and collect payment for meals and beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
  • provide friendly, fast and helpful customer service through consistent red carpet service
  • ensure proper and timely setup for live racing
  • maintain adequate levels of rolled silverware
  • fill salt and pepper shakers and sugar caddies daily
  • maintain clean, well-stocked and organized work areas
  • serve food and beverages quickly and efficiently
  • communicate clearly with guests, co-workers and supervisors
  • maintain working knowledge of menus
  • organize duties and work area to maximize timely service delivery
  • provide specific direction to support staff as needed
  • observe guests' needs and respond to additional requests
  • ensure all food and beverage items are rung up correctly by table
  • ensure guests are charged correctly and checks closed out according to company policies
  • transfer tips to applicable positions for proper reporting
  • perform point of sale system functions with management
  • perform cash drops to recycling machine
  • work with busser to clear tables during live racing
  • assist in other areas as directed
  • contribute to a friendly and productive work environment
  • know proper operation of job-related equipment
  • observe all safety procedures
  • use protective equipment and proper lifting techniques
  • attend departmental and company meetings
  • report workplace injuries and unsafe conditions
  • know location of first aid kits, eyewash stations, fire-fighting equipment, and exits
  • maintain clean uniform
  • ensure dependability and good attendance
  • work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • perform other duties as assigned
