Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years related experience and/or training in food and beverage operations
  • Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission License (TABC)
  • Serve-safe certified (Food Handlers)
  • Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit if applicable
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift up to or over 30lbs occasionally over 50lbs
  • Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and reach
  • Ability to go up and down stairs several dozen times daily
  • Strong communication skills
  • Dependability and good attendance
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends or holidays as scheduled
  • Honest and with integrity

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of food and beverage operation experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to apply common understanding to carry out detailed instructions
  • Strong knowledge of bar operations and service procedures
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to handle money and operate a cash register efficiently
  • Outgoing personality and positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and be flexible
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions
  • Possess honesty and integrity
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
  • Ability to interact positively with customers, employees and management

Job Duties

  • Provide friendly, fast and helpful customer service through red carpet customer service to all guests and team members
  • Ensure proper and timely setup for live racing
  • Maintain adequate levels of rolled silverware
  • Fill salt and pepper shakers as well as sugar caddies daily
  • Maintain clean, well-stocked and organized work areas
  • Serve food and beverages as ordered by customers quickly and efficiently
  • Communicate clearly with guests, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Maintain a working knowledge of menus to relay accurate information to guests
  • Organize duties and work area to maximize timely service delivery to guests
  • Provide specific direction to support staff in a courteous manner as needed
  • Observe guests needs and respond to any additional requests
  • Ensure all food and beverage items are rung up correctly by table each day
  • Ensure guests are charged correctly and all checks are closed out according to company policies and procedures
  • Transfer tips to all applicable positions for proper tracking and reporting
  • Work with manager and supervisor to perform point of sale system functions such as comps, voids, transfers
  • Perform cash drops to cash recycling machine when needed
  • Work with busser to ensure guest tables have been cleared in a timely manner during live racing
  • Assist in other areas as directed by management
  • Contribute to a friendly and productive work environment and report concerns to supervisor
  • Know and understand the operation of all job-related equipment
  • Observe safety procedures when handling equipment, liquids, dishes
  • Use proper protective equipment as directed
  • Use proper lifting techniques when handling trays and dishes
  • Attend departmental and company meetings as required
  • Immediately report workplace injuries to supervisor
  • Report unsafe acts, conditions, or equipment
  • Know first aid kit locations and eyewash stations
  • Know location of fire-fighting equipment and fire exits
  • Maintain clean uniform at all times
  • Demonstrate dependability, good attendance, and work occasional overtime
  • Work evenings, weekends, or holidays as scheduled
  • Perform other duties as assigned
