Job Requirements

  • High school education or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of one year experience in front of the house operations within restaurant, hotel, club, or similar environment
  • Able to communicate effectively with management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations
  • Patience, tact, and cheerful disposition
  • Must pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain or exceed standards of appearance and cleanliness
  • Maintain personal hygiene and health standards
  • Maintain and protect confidentiality of resident information
  • Provide pleasant dining experience for community residents while following dietary instructions
  • Responsible for proper dining room setup meeting hospitality and service standards
  • Obtain food and supplies for meal service as directed
  • Distribute and store clean dishes
  • Practice safe and sanitary food handling during preparation, holding, and service
  • Assist in preparation of foods as directed
  • Perform cleaning duties in dining room, kitchen, serving areas, cafeteria, and storerooms
  • Mop floors in designated areas
  • Practice and observe safety and loss prevention procedures including infection control guidelines
  • Perform other duties or fill in for dining room or wait staff as requested
  • Work in a safe and alert manner
  • Take ownership for associate and resident safety
  • Disclose any medication affecting ability to perform job safely or competently
