Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality or full-service senior living
  • Ability to maintain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to maintain ServeSafe certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Local Health Department Food Handler Card
  • Ability to comply with state or provincial training and regulatory requirements
  • Must be able to pass drug test, tuberculosis test, physical evaluation, and background check
  • Covid-19 and influenza vaccination may be required in accordance with applicable laws
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Competent organizational and time management skills
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

Job Duties

  • Cultivate a warm and hospitable environment by making personal connections with residents and guests and treating all with professionalism and respect
  • Take and deliver food orders in a timely manner
  • Bus and reset tables per company standards
  • Clean and maintain the dining room and bistro to the highest standards per company guidelines
  • Complete required side work as assigned
  • Attend pre-meal meeting to gain knowledge of the meal
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items and provide general descriptions
  • Assist residents with menu selections and respond professionally to questions about menu items
  • Use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy
  • Practice safe food handling procedures according to all relevant laws and Sunrise policies
  • Comply with occupational health and safety regulations and practice safety procedures, including use of PPE and Safety Data Sheets
  • Perform other dining services duties such as washing and sanitizing dishes, sweeping work areas, preparing and serving light meals, and assisting with food preparation when assigned
  • Participate actively as a team member working towards common goals
  • Demonstrate Team Member Credo in daily interactions
  • Commit to serving residents and guests through Principles of Service
  • Contribute to engagement programs and attend regular team meetings
  • Maintain compliance with assigned training and other required training
  • Perform other duties as assigned by community leadership
