Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
  • maintain CPR and First Aid certifications
  • maintain ServeSafe certification
  • maintain local health department food handler card
  • able to perform essential duties satisfactorily
  • comply with federal, state/provincial, and local food safety regulations
  • adhere to occupational health and safety and risk management policies
  • able to participate in training and engagement programs
  • commit to teamwork and uphold company values

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living

Job Duties

  • Cultivate a warm and hospitable environment by making personal connections with residents and guests and treating all with professionalism and respect
  • take and deliver food orders in a timely manner
  • bus and reset tables per company standards
  • clean and maintain the dining room and bistro to the highest standards per company guidelines
  • complete required side work as assigned
  • attend pre-meal meetings to gain knowledge of the meal
  • maintain knowledge of menu items and provide general descriptions
  • assist residents with menu selections and respond professionally to questions about menu items
  • use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy
  • practice safe food handling procedures at all times in accordance with all federal, state/provincial, and local laws, regulations, and guidance and Sunrise policies and procedures
  • comply with national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety and risk management programs and policies
  • perform other dining services duties such as washing and sanitizing dishes, sweeping work areas, preparing and serving light meals, and assisting with food preparation and plating when necessary
  • participate actively as a team member and commit to working toward team goals
  • demonstrate the Team Member Credo in daily interactions
  • commit to serving residents and guests through Principles of Service
  • contribute to engagement programs and attend meetings
  • maintain compliance in assigned required training and all other training required by state/province or other regulating authorities
  • perform other duties as assigned
