- Possesses good communication, customer service and people skills
- Professional, patient and able to satisfy a demanding customer base
- Experience working with a senior population is preferred but not required
- Team player, willing to help out where needed
- Familiarity with food safety, food preparation and board of health guidelines is a plus
- Able to adjust to different personality types and situations positively
- Reliable, caring and gentle in actions and demeanor
- Maintains respect for the elderly and remains calm at all times
Job Duties
- Patiently and cheerfully taking resident meal orders
- Checking station tables for settings and cleanliness
- Reading the menu before service to assist residents knowledgeably
- Assisting in plating and proper portion controls of appetizers, salads, soups, beverages, and desserts
- Bussing tables at the end of the meal
