Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant or food-service-related industry
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Possesses good communication, customer service and people skills
  • Professional, patient and able to satisfy a demanding customer base
  • Experience working with a senior population is preferred but not required
  • Team player, willing to help out where needed
  • Familiarity with food safety, food preparation and board of health guidelines is a plus
  • Able to adjust to different personality types and situations positively
  • Reliable, caring and gentle in actions and demeanor
  • Maintains respect for the elderly and remains calm at all times

Job Duties

  • Patiently and cheerfully taking resident meal orders
  • Checking station tables for settings and cleanliness
  • Reading the menu before service to assist residents knowledgeably
  • Assisting in plating and proper portion controls of appetizers, salads, soups, beverages, and desserts
  • Bussing tables at the end of the meal
