Job Requirements
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Must complete and pass a drug screening
- Must complete and pass a physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test
- Must pass criminal background clearance through FBI and Department of Justice including minor misdemeanors and DUIs
- Ability to stand and walk up to 100% of the work day
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull bus carts independently
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach and balance frequently throughout the work day

Job Qualifications

- Ability to read, speak, write, understand and follow instructions in English in order to interpret and explain the menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests
- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is preferred
Job Duties
- Assist in all functions of serving including but not limited to order taking, basic food prep, furniture setup, table setting, buffet setting, serving, bussing, clean-up of food items, re-setting, room maintenance, and other serving-related procedures
- Enter order information into POS computer program for tracking of resident meals
- Clean up preparation area, serving area, tables, place settings etc.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in dining and serving areas
- Provide excellent customer service to residents ensuring a positive dining experience
- Collaborate with kitchen and dining staff to ensure efficient meal service
- Communicate effectively with residents and staff to address needs and preferences
