Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience in hospitality preferred
  • Food Handlers Card (FH) - VA State - ANSI-approved certificate within 30 days required
  • Allergen Awareness Certification - VA State - ANSI-approved certificate within 180 days required
  • Ability to work in facility-approved uniform
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation protocols

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Follow standard service protocols ensuring timely greeting and seating and meal delivery
  • Understand and respond sensitively to residents' and guests' needs and preferences
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and positive team interaction
  • Complete daily opening and closing side work, including restocking supplies and cold food prep
  • Assemble resident trays accurately adhering to menu, dietary, and allergy restrictions
  • Exhibit knowledge of menu details and resident accounting procedures
  • Adhere to quality control and safe food handling practices including glove use, hair restraints, labeling, and temperature monitoring
  • Perform table setup and breakdown according to sanitation and regulatory standards
  • Assist in maintaining the self-respect, dignity, and physical safety of residents
  • Manage time effectively to complete duties and maintain punctuality and appropriate uniform standards
