Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications and participate in ongoing training and re-education as required by Sunrise and state or provincial regulations
- Hold ServeSafe certification
- Possess Local Health Department Food Handler Card
- Ability to comply with all federal, state, and local food handling and occupational safety regulations
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing for long periods
- Ability to use Sunrise systems for order taking and meal delivery
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings including drug test
- Comply with Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination requirements as mandated by law
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Cultivate a warm and hospitable environment by making personal connections with residents and guests and treating all with professionalism and respect
- Take and deliver food orders in a timely manner
- Bus and reset tables per company standards
- Clean and maintain the dining room and bistro to the highest standards per company guidelines
- Complete required side work as assigned
- Attend pre-meal meeting to gain knowledge of the meal
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and provide general descriptions
- Assist residents with menu selections and respond professionally to questions about menu items
- Use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy
- Practice safe food handling procedures at all times in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidance and Sunrise policies and procedures
- Comply with national regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety and Risk Management programs and policies
- Perform additional dining services duties when assigned, including washing and sanitizing dishes, sweeping work areas, preparing and serving light meals, assisting with food preparation and plating
- Participate actively as a member of a team and commit to working toward team goals
- Demonstrate in daily interactions the Team Member Credo
- Commit to serving residents and guests through the Principles of Service
- Contribute to engagement programs and attend regular meetings
- Maintain compliance with required training and perform other duties as assigned
