Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- ServeSafe certification
- Local Health Department Food Handler Card
- Ability to maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and safety protocols
- Ability to pass drug test and participate in required health testing
- Compliance with state, provincial, or local training requirements as applicable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
- Maintain certifications including CPR and First Aid, ServeSafe, Local Health Department Food Handler Card
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Competent organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Job Duties
- Cultivate a warm and hospitable environment by making personal connections with residents and guests and treating all with professionalism and respect
- Take and deliver food orders in a timely manner
- Bus and reset tables per company standards
- Clean and maintain the dining room and bistro to the highest standards per company guidelines
- Complete required side work as assigned
- Attend pre-meal meeting to gain knowledge of the meal
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and can provide general descriptions
- Assist residents with menu selections and respond professionally to questions about menu items
- Use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy
- Practice safe food handling procedures at all times
- Comply with national and provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety and Risk Management programs and policies
- Perform other dining services duties including washing and sanitizing dishes, sweeping work areas, preparing and serving light meals, assisting with food preparation and plating
- Participate actively as a member of a team and commit to working toward team goals
- Demonstrate in daily interactions with others, our Team Member Credo
- Commit to serving our residents and guests through our Principles of Service
- Contribute to engagement programs and attend regular meetings
- Maintain compliance in required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
