Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and or full-service senior living
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certification
- Maintain ServeSafe certification
- Maintain Local Health Department Food Handler Card
- Ability to comply with all food safety and sanitation requirements
- Ability to participate actively in team settings and meetings
- Ability to complete required training and ongoing re-education
- Pass drug test (excluding marijuana), Tuberculosis test, physical evaluation, and background check as required
- Covid-19 and influenza vaccinations if mandated by law
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment
- Availability to perform duties in line with Sunrise policies and standards
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and or full-service senior living
- Maintain required certifications such as CPR and First Aid, ServeSafe, Local Health Department Food Handler Card
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment
- Competent in organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to team collaboration and engagement
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Cultivate a warm and hospitable environment by making personal connections with residents and guests and treating all with professionalism and respect
- Take and deliver food orders in a timely manner
- Bus and reset tables per company standards
- Clean and maintain the dining room and bistro to the highest standards per company guidelines
- Complete required side work as assigned
- Attend pre-meal meeting to gain knowledge of the meal
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and can provide general descriptions
- Assist residents with menu selections and respond professionally to questions about menu items
- Use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy
- Practice safe food handling procedures at all times in accordance with all federal, state, provincial, and local laws, regulations, and guidance and Sunrise policies and procedures
- Comply with national, provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety and Risk Management programs and policies, adhere to safety rules and regulations, and practice safety procedures at all times including personal protective equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout Tagout procedures
- Perform other Dining Services duties when assigned such as washing and sanitizing dishes, sweeping work areas, preparing and serving light meals, and assisting with food preparation and plating
- Participate actively as a member of a team and commit to working toward team goals
- Demonstrate in daily interactions the Team Member Credo and Principles of Service
- Attend regular meetings including Town Hall and Department Team meetings
- Maintain compliance in assigned required training and other mandatory trainings
- Perform other duties as assigned
