Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • knowledge of and ability to learn food serving, cleanliness and sanitation requirements
  • ability to obtain Food Handler's Certification once hired
  • ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or 20 pounds continuously to move food service and preparation equipment and other objects
  • ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods, including ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, stand and walk over 75% of shift

Job Duties

  • be upbeat, courteous, and positive
  • possess great guest relation and communications skills
  • deliver hospitality and enhance every guest experience
  • navigate through the menu, describe featured menu items with extensive menu knowledge
  • take accurate food and beverage orders and send orders to kitchen accurately through the point of sales system
  • partner with all associates to serve food and beverages in a timely manner
  • handle cash including counting and balancing cash register while ensuring all payments are processed timely, accurately, and correctly
  • maintain the confidentiality of guest information
  • multi-task and work well with others
  • adhere to Buckner Service Standards
  • perform all side-work duties assigned and maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all dining areas and some kitchen areas
  • work successfully as part of a team and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers
