Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
- Certifications in CPR and First Aid, ServeSafe, and local health department food handler card as required
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
- Capability to organize and manage time efficiently
- Willingness to comply with food safety, occupational health, and safety regulations
- Must be able to complete assigned duties including meal service, cleaning, and side work
- Ability to work as an active team member
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
- May be required to drive Sunrise vehicle and comply with driving-related requirements
- Must pass drug test and participate in required health screenings
- Comply with Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination mandates as applicable by law
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
- Current certifications in CPR and First Aid, ServeSafe, and local health department food handler card
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Competent organizational and time management skills
- Good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively

- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- Commitment to teamwork and community engagement
- Ability to learn and use Sunrise systems for order taking and meal delivery
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and regulations
Job Duties
- Cultivate a warm and hospitable environment by making personal connections with residents and guests and treating all with professionalism and respect
- Take and deliver food orders in a timely manner
- Bus and reset tables per company standards
- Clean and maintain the dining room and bistro to the highest standards per company guidelines
- Complete required side work as assigned
- Attend pre-meal meeting to gain knowledge of the meal
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and provide general descriptions
- Assist residents with menu selections and respond professionally to questions about menu items
- Use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy
- Practice safe food handling procedures in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Sunrise policies
- Comply with occupational health and safety regulations and practice safety procedures at all times including PPE, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout Tagout procedures
- Perform other dining services duties as assigned including washing and sanitizing dishes and utensils, sweeping and sanitizing work areas, preparing and serving light meals, and assisting with food preparation and plating
- Participate actively as a member of a team and commit to working toward team goals
- Demonstrate the Team Member Credo in daily interactions
- Commit to serving residents and guests through Principles of Service
- Contribute to engagement programs
- Attend regular meetings as directed
- Maintain compliance in required training
- Perform other duties as assigned.
