Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be at least 18 years old
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience in a customer service or food and beverage role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to follow established service procedures
- Familiarity with menu items and dietary restrictions is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- Advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and staff
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared by guests
- Address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisors
- Ensure the dining room is set up before and after service and kept clean during service
- Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
- Collaborate with staff of other departments during special events and functions
- Perform other assigned duties
