Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a customer service or food and beverage role preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills for cash handling
  • Ability to follow established service procedures
  • Familiarity with menu items and dietary restrictions is a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • Advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and staff
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared by guests
  • Address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisors
  • Ensure the dining room is set up before and after service and kept clean during service
  • Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • Collaborate with staff of other departments during special events and functions
  • Perform other assigned duties
