Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in restaurant or food service
  • ability to work evenings during the seasonal schedule from mid-November to January 8th
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to follow health and safety regulations
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Restaurant experience required

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • advise guests on menu items, food and drink combinations, and accommodate special dietary requests
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests are met
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
  • ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
