Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally
maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are accurate
exhibit exceptional communication skills
remain flexible and patient with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean and safe environment
maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly address complaints or issues and relay to supervisor
ensure dining room is set up properly before and after service periods
operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
collaborate with other departments during special events
perform other duties as assigned
