Job Requirements

- Prior experience as a server or waiter/waitress required

- Ability to understand and explain menu items and ingredients
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items, ingredients, specialized diets, and allergens
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests accommodated
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- Address complaints promptly and relay relevant information to supervisors
- Ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
- Operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
- Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
