Job Requirements
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Availability to work part-time shifts including evenings and weekends
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Basic food safety knowledge
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to handle cash
- Willingness to follow sanitation and safety guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred but not required
- Ability to understand and explain menu items including dietary restrictions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- Delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Follows up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
- Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- Advises guests on appropriate food and drink combinations when requested
- Accommodates reasonable requests and notes guest preferences
- Communicates directly with kitchen staff to ensure orders are accurate and special requests are accommodated
- Exhibits exceptional communication skills and works well with others
- Collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- Maintains a clean, safe and neat dining environment
- Ensures dining room is set up properly before and after service
- Operates various equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
- Works with other departments during special events and functions
- Addresses guest complaints promptly and reports them to supervisors
- Performs other duties as assigned
