Job Requirements

  • Previous serving experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work part-time hours including Sundays
  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous serving experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated professionalism and customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follows up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • Advises guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • Accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences including specialized diets and allergens
  • Communicates with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests accommodation
  • Exhibits exceptional communication skills and maintains flexibility and patience with guests and staff
  • Collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promotes a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
  • Maintains sensitivity and confidentiality of personal or medical information shared
  • Addresses complaints promptly and reports to supervisor
  • Ensures dining room setup and cleanliness before and after service
  • Operates equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • Works with other departments during special events
  • Performs other assigned duties
