Job Requirements

  • Prior serving experience is not required
  • willingness to train
  • ability to work part-time shifts between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to follow health and safety regulations
  • must maintain a drug-free workplace
  • ability to handle physical aspects of the job such as carrying trays and operating equipment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follows up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrates understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advises guests on food and drink combinations and accommodates reasonable requests
  • communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate orders
  • exhibits exceptional communication skills and remains flexible and patient with guests and staff
  • collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintains confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays them to supervisor
  • sets up and cleans dining room before and after service meeting sanitation standards
  • operates dining equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborates with staff from other departments during events and functions
  • performs other duties as assigned
