Job Requirements

Prior serving experience is not required
willingness to train
ability to work part-time shifts between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
reliable and punctual
ability to follow health and safety regulations
must maintain a drug-free workplace
ability to handle physical aspects of the job such as carrying trays and operating equipment

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
willingness to learn and follow established service procedures
customer service skills
ability to work as part of a team
basic understanding of food safety and sanitation preferred
flexibility to work scheduled shifts
ability to handle cash transactions accurately
strong interpersonal skills
capacity to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
follows up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
demonstrates understanding of menu items and ingredients
advises guests on food and drink combinations and accommodates reasonable requests
communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate orders
exhibits exceptional communication skills and remains flexible and patient with guests and staff
collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
maintains confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays them to supervisor
sets up and cleans dining room before and after service meeting sanitation standards
operates dining equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
collaborates with staff from other departments during events and functions
performs other duties as assigned
