Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in fine dining preferred
  • ability to work part-time Tuesday through Thursday with varying hours
  • legally authorized to work in the United States
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • adherence to drug-free workplace policy

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on appropriate combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to a supervisor
  • ensure dining room is set up properly before and after service
  • operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • work with other department staff during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
