Job Requirements

  • Previous food service experience preferred but not required
  • willingness to train
  • availability to work part-time with flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • reliable and punctual
  • capable of maintaining confidentiality regarding guest information

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous food service experience preferred but not required
  • ability to learn and apply food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • customer service oriented with a friendly and professional attitude
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established service steps
  • delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follows up periodically to assist with additional guest needs
  • demonstrates menu knowledge including ingredients and dietary accommodations
  • communicates orders and special requests to kitchen and other staff
  • collects tickets and adheres to proper cash-handling procedures
  • promotes a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
  • maintains confidentiality of guest information
  • addresses and relays complaints to supervisor
  • prepares and cleans dining room before and after service
  • operates restaurant equipment including fire extinguishers and beverage machines
  • collaborates with other departments during special events
  • performs other duties as assigned
