Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous dining room serving experience preferred
- availability for part-time shifts from 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm or 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, days may vary
- ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- willingness to learn and undergo training
- ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personal and medical information

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages in an efficient manner, following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally
- maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests accommodated
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and get along well with others
- remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operate a variety of equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- work with staff of other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
