Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- willingness to learn and be trained in hospitality and food service standards
- basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices a plus
- strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- capacity to handle cash transactions accurately
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
- commitment to maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity regarding guest information
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and advise guests on appropriate combinations
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences including specialized diets and allergens
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain flexibility and patience with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat dining environment
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay them to supervisor
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service, keeping it clean and sanitary
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- collaborate with other department staff during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
