Job Requirements
- Prior healthcare experience or restaurant serving experience preferred
- must be able to work part-time with availability for weekends and holidays
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- capable of following safety and sanitation guidelines
- willingness to undergo any required background checks
- must be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior healthcare or restaurant serving experience preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to remain patient and flexible in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- basic cash-handling skills
- ability to learn menu items, including special diets and allergens
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to work collaboratively within a team
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests accordingly
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
- maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment in the dining area
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
- set up and clean the dining room before and after service
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- work with other departments during special events and perform other duties as assigned
