Job Requirements

  • Prior healthcare experience or restaurant serving experience preferred
  • must be able to work part-time with availability for weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • capable of following safety and sanitation guidelines
  • willingness to undergo any required background checks
  • must be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior healthcare or restaurant serving experience preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to remain patient and flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • basic cash-handling skills
  • ability to learn menu items, including special diets and allergens
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to work collaboratively within a team

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests accordingly
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
  • maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment in the dining area
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
  • set up and clean the dining room before and after service
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • work with other departments during special events and perform other duties as assigned
