Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience as a server or waiter/waitress
- ability to work part-time with flexible scheduling including weekends
- knowledge of food safety protocols
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- ability to stand and move for long periods
- ability to follow established procedures and guidelines
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- willingness to comply with a drug-free workplace policy
- legal eligibility to work in the United States

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
- delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follows up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
- communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests are accommodated
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain flexibility and patience while interacting with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain high level of confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
