Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • Accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences including specialized diets and allergens
  • Communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and staff
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • Promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
  • Set up and clean the dining room before and after service while meeting sanitation standards
  • Operate dining room equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee makers
  • Collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
