Job Requirements
- Minimum three years of prior serving experience in an upscale setting
- ability to work a flexible part-time schedule including weekends and holidays
- strong customer service and communication skills
- knowledge of menu items and dietary accommodations
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- capacity to handle cash transactions accurately
- physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- must be able to operate kitchen and serving equipment safely
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of three years of serving experience in an upscale dining setting preferred
- strong knowledge of food and beverage menus and ingredients
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- proficiency in safe food handling and sanitation practices
- ability to maintain professionalism and customer service standards under pressure
- basic math skills for handling cash and transaction processing
- ability to work collaboratively with team members and kitchen staff
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established service steps
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- accommodate reasonable guest requests and note preferences
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders and special requests are accurately fulfilled
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive relations with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service, keeping the area clean and meeting sanitation standards
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee makers
- collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
