Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- able to work flexible hours including weekends
- reliable transportation to the job location
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- comply with company policies and procedures
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- ability to handle cash and payment transactions accurately
- customer service oriented
- able to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established service steps
- delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on appropriate combinations
- communicates with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodation of special requests
- collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays information directly to supervisor
- ensures dining room is set up properly before and after service periods
- operates various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- works with other departments during special events
- performs other duties as assigned
