Job Requirements

  • No prior experience required
  • availability to work part time including weekend shifts
  • ability to work from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm with flexible days
  • ability to handle physical demands of the job including standing for long periods
  • basic English proficiency
  • ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • customer service experience is an asset but not required
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
  • basic math skills for handling payments
  • team player with a positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences
  • communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and work well with others
  • remain flexible and patient with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
  • ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service and meets sanitation standards
  • operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
