Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of previous serving experience preferred
  • ability to work part-time with open schedule availability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences including specialized diets and allergens
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests are accommodated
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others
  • remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
  • ensure dining room setup is complete before and after service and meet sanitation standards
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
