Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverages orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct delivery of orders and accommodate special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to get along with others, remain flexible and patient
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods and keep area clean
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, soda machines, and coffee machines
- work with staff of other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
