Job Requirements

  • No previous experience required
  • must be able to work part-time including nights and weekends
  • able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • able to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • willing to undergo training
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • basic understanding of food safety and sanitation standards advantageous but not required
  • willingness to learn and adapt
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • strong teamwork and customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain a flexible and patient demeanor
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints and relay information to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events
  • perform other duties as assigned
