Job Requirements

  • Willing to train
  • Ability to work part-time schedules including Monday through Saturday and Sundays
  • Must be able to perform physical duties related to food service such as standing and carrying items
  • Reliable transportation to the Grand Rapids location
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Must comply with company policies including maintaining a drug-free workplace
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding guest information

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service or customer service is an advantage but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible part-time hours including evenings and weekends
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and carry food and beverage items
  • Willingness to learn and be trained on the job
  • Friendly and customer-focused attitude

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Takes food and beverages in an efficient manner following established steps of service
  • Delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follows up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • Advises guests on food and drink combinations and accommodates reasonable requests
  • Communicates directly with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special requests
  • Exhibits exceptional communication skills and maintains positive interactions with guests and staff
  • Collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promotes a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding personal or medical guest information
  • Addresses complaints promptly and relays relevant information to supervisors
  • Ensures dining areas are properly set up before and after service
  • Operates equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • Works with other departments during special events and functions
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
